INFODue to its nature as a hands-on workshop, this event requires on-site attendance — we do not provide an option for remote participation.

Registration opens: 22 March 2026.
Registration closes: 30 April 2026 (at 23:59 CET).

Please be aware that there is a limited number of slots. Accepted participants will be notified in early May, and will have to confirm their attendance no later than 23 May. After that date, any unconfirmed slot will be automatically attributed to applicants on the waiting list.
Technical RequirementsThe school is based on the Python programming language. Therefore, it is expected that applicants possess the basic knowledge necessary to read and understand the code. The attendees will need to bring their personal computers.
Registration FeeWe aim to keep the contibution as low as possible, strictly to cover essential costs, with instructors receiving no profit. Alas, a participation fee is required.

The rates are as follows:
  • Students and PhD candidates: €250
  • Postdoctoral researchers and above: €350
Selected applicants will receive payment instructions in the notification email. Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of the payment.

Provide a concise statement explaining your motivation for attending the AstroStat School and how it will support your academic or research work. The selection process prioritizes demonstrated need, so this section should be treated as the most important component of your application.
